Distractions

I was anticipating a rainy day today, so I didn't really plan on doing anything. Surprisingly, the weather wasn't that bad, but I had already decided to take some pictures indoors so I just stuck with that. I've been trying to get pictures of Quinn for a while now, but it hasn't been the most successful. You see my son does not cooperate with photographers. He's absolutely adorable, and doesn't necesarily hate having his picture taken... he's just not going to go out of his way to make it easier for you! Because of this, I end up with a lot of blurry back of the head pictures. So I scoured pinterest over the last week, looking for tips on photographing toddlers and came across some really great advice. You can see the tips I found on my pinterest board here. One of my favorites, was to take pictures of your child while they are watching tv. They are distracted, and aren't likely to be paying any attention to you or the camera, which can actually be a good thing sometimes. I was able to get a lot of really cute close up shots. It's interesting to me that we take so many pictures of the little details when they are newborns, but none when they get older! They still have the most adorable features and I love that I will be able to remember those things about him when he's older!

He was mad that I was taking pictures instead of holding him.

I also had the opportunity to take some pictures for Susan again today, and this time we got to include the adorable Chelsea in the shoot!
